About the Family
HNWI family seeking a Maternity Nanny for a newborn baby (exp. September 2024).
The Mom and Dad are about to become new parents, and seek a person who will foster a natural and loving bond with the new child.
The family is based in South of France and abroad
The project
We are looking for a Experienced and Qualified Maternity Nanny to take care of the newborn child.
- This is a permanent position. Swiss contract. Schedule to be discussed orally.
- The position will officially begin ASAP depending on the path of the recruitment process of course, the family is willing to find the right candidate in a reasonable delay.
- After initial physical/video interviews, if you are shortlisted, a trial will be organized at the family's home, of course this trial will be paid.
As the Maternity nanny, you will have a two fold responsibility in two different timeframes. The first, before the arrival of the baby, and the second, after the arrival of the baby.
In the first part, you would have duties such as, and not limited to:
- Advising the mother and parents on methods, processes and ways to make the journey up until the delivery smooth & pleasant
- Consulting on nutrition, style of care and support, plans for different scenarios, getting the right equipments for before and after birth, etc.
- Supporting mom to get rested whenever possible and trying to minimize the stresses of trivial tasks and daily routines.
- A big part of your job would be offering emotional support to the mother and maintaining a positive and happy environment in this life-changing period
- Monitoring the vitals of the mother on a daily basis, collaborating with family doctor to establish a unified schedule and manner of doing things
- Ensuring that the mother has a balanced physical activity as advised by the doctor, and watch out for potentially stressful activities
- Monitor the pregnancy closely and develop an ideal pregnancy plan in collaboration with the doctor and family
In the second part, after the birth, the following tasks, but not limited to:
- To provide the required childcare services to the family as described with a very high standard of care and service, in a calm and non-stressful environment
- To put the absolute safety of the children first before all other responsibilities, and ensure that they are properly supervised when under your care
- Comprehensive monitoring and promotion of nutrition of the child, as per requirement, and of hygiene care
- Coordinate with the parents in the care process, and answer their questions and concerns calmly as they are first time parents
- We are looking for a candidate who is qualified, who has several years of experience working as a Maternity Nanny but most importantly, someone who will not impose her vision but share it and base herself our the parents vision.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of duties and we are looking for candidates that have a very open mind, and a personality that can put other people at ease.
At the same time, you are mindful of the parents’ personality, and are able to find the correct balance in this professional relationship.
Requirements and Desired profile
- Education in childhood education or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in professional child care
- 2 professional and 1 personal reference
- Valid passport, visa & rights to work in Europe
- The energy and physical fitness to keep up with a new born baby
- Gentle yet firm approach
- CPR certification would be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational skills & time management skills
- Excellent listening skills & interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of first-aid is mandatory.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to manage tasks as per the priorities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Hard-working and reliable individual.
- You must be very autonomous and able to work with Mum and Dad at the same time, able to involve yourself in the family activities and respect the family at the same time.
- You are healthy and dynamic.
- You are very positive and enthusiastic.
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about taking care of children
- You are comfortable working with VIPs.
- You are a good educator, nanny and you make sure that the family has a good time with you.
- You are patient.
- You are a smiling person, you like to work with private individuals and you are discreet. You have a strong sense of confidentiality.
- You make people feel comfortable learning and spending time with you, avoiding stress.
- You are always on time and present well, you have a real sense of human relations and communication comes with an ease to you.
- You MUST speak English fluently. Any other language such as French is a plus.
- You MUST have a driving license.
- You DO NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD, you are honest and trustworthy.
Salary : based on profile
This position can be a live-in position.
Package : The Maternity Nanny will be provided a private accommodation while working
Hours/Schedule: The schedule is variable and sometimes unpredictable, but 50-60 hours a week is typical, and parents’ work and social obligations. You will have 2 consecutive days off every week, but not necessarily the weekends..
