EXPERIENCED JAPANESE CHEF - *** EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ONLY ***
We are looking for an Experienced Japanese speaking Chef for one of our private VIP clients.
You will work in the owners' private Villa.
It is a LIVE-OUT position.
This is a rotational position where you work 15 days and you are 15 days off for a full time salary. You will rotate with another Chef.
Permanent Contract.
The project
Typical duties include:
- Conferring with clients to determine their meal preferences, specifications, food allergies, and dietary restrictions
- Preparing customized meal plans for clients based on their preferences, specifications, and dietary needs
- Shopping for meal ingredients as well as necessary kitchen tools and equipment
- Inspecting meal ingredients before making purchases to ensure that they are of the highest quality
- Preparing meals in clients' kitchens in accordance with food health and safety regulations
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas before and after meal preparation
Profile Desired:
- You have a passion for food and cooking, and are especially trained in Japanese cuisine and you have a very strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experiences working extensively in traditional/fusion Japanese cuisine
- You are able to cope with last-minute changes
- You are well versed in traditional Japanese cooking techniques
- You have a strong attention to detail in terms of presentation and other aspects
- You can maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene & food safety in the kitchen
- You are patient, kind and have the ability to work as part of a team
- You have strong organisation & time management skills
- You speak French & English fluently, in addition to Japanese; Other languages are welcome
- You have a car and a valid driver's license
Working Rhythm:
You will be rotating shifts with another chef in the team. You would be working 15-16 days a month, in shifts of 12 to 14 hours per day
