About the project
As the Yacht Manager, you would be in-charge of monitoring the overall operation and maintenance for multiple boats/vessels. This would include safety protocol management, crew management and accounting for the boat. You will also make sure that the technical equipment and systems on-board are functional, and the boat owners trust you to take care of the smooth functioning of the vessel.
We are looking an Experienced Yacht Manager ready to start working as soon as possbile and enter the company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. This is a permanent position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining a healthy relationship with the client boat owners or their representative, keeping your commercial reputation intact as a leader in Yacht Management.
Being the key point of contact, clearly understanding requirements of the boat owners in terms of yacht management
Identifying effective ways to deliver the best customized service to our high profile clients
Providing accurate consulting/guidance to clients based on market analysis/experience
Assisting the captain of the boat or the chief engineer and supporting them to deliver trustworthy and profitable operation of the vessel in compliance with the company guidelines
Assisting the crew to follow and implement all the required processes on board and making sure that everuthing is runned smoothly to ensure the best service delivery while on charter or on use while with owners
Managing & overseeing the yacht based projects and possible refits
Ensuring the correct certifications, adherence to class and flag requirements of the boats
Monitoring the budget compliance of your boat and timely financial performance
Preparing timely reports on the operational performance of your boats and present it to clients
Managing the overall functioning of every boat you are in-charge of, from a profitable, commercial and operational perspective
Actively involved in the strategic development of the company from the perspective of yacht management services and your footprint in the industry
Representing the company at important events such as annual boat shows, trade events, meetings/conferences
Staying updated with the relevant maritime laws based on location and ensuring the full adherence for your boat(s)
Implementing the company’s extensive safety protocols and emergency response procedures on board your vessel(s) and ensuring the overall safety of the personnel onboard the vessel(s)
Staying alert in identifying new opportunities in the domain of yacht management and active participation in the Cross-Selling of additional services for the company
DESIRED PROFILE:
For this management level position:
Skills & Qualifications required:
- You have a valid work visa for the U.S. (B1/B2)
- You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- You have experience as a Meng Naval architect and/or in maritime engineering AND/OR
- You ideally have a previous significant experience as a Captain or even as Chief Engineer on a commercial luxury yacht (minimum of 7 years) and you have handling all technical aspects previously, you have an extensive knowledge and understanding of technical matters and legal administrative work.
- You have successfully completed either of these three certification combinations: STCW 11/2 Certificate of Competency (Master Unlimited) OR
- STCW 111/2 Certificate of Competency (Chief Engineer Unlimited) OR
- ISM lead auditor, Designated Person Ashore, Company Security Officer
- You must be fluent in English and have a strong level in French, written, read and spoken
- Another language is a real plus
- You have a full international driver’s license
- You have a clean criminal record

- You are able to multi-task with ease and prioritize your responsibilities efficiently, therefore you have good organiational skills
- You have an excellent eye for detail and don’t let any crucial details slip without your attention
- You have very strong sense of human relationship and therefore, you have possess extremely good managerial interpersonal skills to be able to cross manage several indidvuals evovling in different third parties such as suppliers, crews, owners and your own team
- You are perfectly autonomous but you also know to adapt and work within a team
- You have excellent communications skills and you stimulate your team in a posivite and active way
- You have a strong appetence for technology and computers, you can use a Mac and its tools, you are also a tech-savy.

Nous recherchons un Yacht Manager expérimenté prêt à commencer à travailler dès que possible et à entrer dans l'entreprise basée à Fort Lauderdale, en Floride, aux États-Unis. Il s'agit d'un poste permanent.
LES RESPONSABILITÉS PRIMAIRES
- Entretenir une relation saine avec les propriétaires de bateaux clients ou leur représentant, en gardant intacte votre réputation commerciale en tant que leader de la gestion de yachts.
- Être le point de contact clé, comprendre clairement les exigences des propriétaires de bateaux en termes de gestion des yachts
- Identifier des moyens efficaces pour fournir le meilleur service personnalisé à nos clients de haut niveau
- Fournir des conseils/orientations précis aux clients sur la base d’une analyse/expérience de marché
- Assister le capitaine du bateau ou le chef mécanicien et les aider à assurer une exploitation fiable et rentable du navire, conformément aux directives de l'entreprise.
- Aider l'équipage à suivre et à mettre en œuvre tous les processus requis à bord et à s'assurer que tout se déroule sans problème pour garantir la meilleure prestation de services en charter ou en utilisation avec les propriétaires.
- Gérer et superviser les projets basés sur les yachts et les éventuels refits
- Assurer les certifications correctes, le respect des exigences de classe et de pavillon des bateaux
- Suivi du respect du budget de votre bateau et des performances financières en temps opportun
- Préparer des rapports en temps opportun sur les performances opérationnelles de vos bateaux et les présenter aux clients
- Gérer le fonctionnement global de chaque bateau dont vous avez la charge, d'un point de vue rentable, commercial et opérationnel
- Participer activement au développement stratégique de l'entreprise du point de vue des services de gestion de yachts et de votre empreinte dans l'industrie.
- Représenter l'entreprise lors d'événements importants tels que les salons nautiques annuels, les événements commerciaux, les réunions/conférences
- Rester à jour avec les lois maritimes pertinentes en fonction de l'emplacement et garantir le plein respect de votre (vos) bateau (s)
- Mettre en œuvre les protocoles de sécurité complets et les procédures d'intervention d'urgence de l'entreprise à bord de votre (vos) navire (s) et assurer la sécurité globale du personnel à bord du (des) navire (s)
- Rester vigilant dans l'identification de nouvelles opportunités dans le domaine de la gestion de yachts et participer activement au Cross-Selling de services complémentaires pour l'entreprise
PROFIL SOUHAITÉ :
Pour ce poste de niveau management :
Compétences et qualifications requises :
- Vous disposez d'un visa de travail valide pour les États-Unis (B1/B2)
- Vous disposez d'un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience pertinente dans un poste similaire
- Vous avez une expérience en tant qu'architecte Meng Naval et/ou en ingénierie maritime ET/OU
- Vous avez idéalement une expérience significative en tant que capitaine ou même en tant qu'ingénieur en chef sur un yacht commercial de luxe (minimum 7 ans) et vous avez déjà géré tous les aspects techniques, vous avez une connaissance et une compréhension approfondies des questions techniques et du travail administratif juridique.
- Vous avez réussi l'une de ces trois combinaisons de certification : Certificat de compétence STCW 11/2 (Master Unlimited) OU
- Certificat de compétence STCW 111/2 (ingénieur en chef illimité) OU
- Auditeur principal ISM, personne désignée à terre, agent de sécurité de l'entreprise
- Vous devez parler couramment l'anglais et avoir un bon niveau en français, écrit, lu et parlé.
- Une autre langue est un vrai plus
- Vous disposez d'un permis de conduire international complet
- Vous avez un casier judiciaire vierge
Qualités, attributs et Soft Skills :
- Vous êtes capable d'effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois avec facilité et de hiérarchiser efficacement vos responsabilités. Vous possédez donc de bonnes compétences organisationnelles.
- Vous avez un excellent sens du détail et ne laissez aucun détail crucial passer sans votre attention.
- Vous avez un très fort sens des relations humaines et par conséquent, vous possédez de très bonnes compétences relationnelles managériales pour être capable de gérer de manière croisée plusieurs personnes évoluant chez différents tiers tels que les fournisseurs, les équipages, les propriétaires et votre propre équipe.
- Vous êtes parfaitement autonome mais vous savez également vous adapter et travailler en équipe
- Vous possédez d'excellentes compétences en communication et vous stimulez votre équipe de manière positive et active
- Vous avez une forte appétence pour la technologie et l'informatique, vous savez utiliser un Mac et ses outils, vous êtes également un féru de technologie.
