About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, reliable and discreet Private Driver / Chauffeur to support a private employer and his family, based in Monaco.
The role combines professional driving responsibilities and general day-to-day assistance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of the Employer and his family, while also assisting with vehicle management and logistical arrangements.
Working closely with the Employer and his family in an international private household environment, the ideal candidate will be flexible, trustworthy and highly organised, with excellent driving skills and the ability to anticipate needs, take initiative and manage responsibilities independently.
Key Responsibilities
Private Chauffeur & Transportation
- Provide safe, professional and reliable transportation for the Employer, his family and guests.
- Drive primarily throughout Monaco, the French Riviera and neighbouring areas of Italy.
- Accompany the Employer and his family on domestic and occasional international trips, including occasional overnight stays.
- Adapt to changing schedules and transportation requirements, ensuring punctuality and a high level of service.
Vehicle & Travel Management
- Maintain the Employer's vehicles in excellent condition, ensuring they are clean, presentable and ready for use.
- Oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and other related arrangements.
- Assist with travel preparations, luggage handling and logistical arrangements.
- Ensure all necessary arrangements are in place ahead of journeys and family trips.
Candidate Profile & Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Private Chauffeur within a private household.
- Fluent English is required; French or Polish language skills are preferred, while Russian would be an additional asset.
- Valid driving licence for passenger vehicles, legally permitting the holder to drive in Monaco, France and Italy.
- Excellent driving skills, strong road safety awareness and good knowledge of Monaco and the French Riviera.
- Highly reliable, flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to accommodate the Employer's changing schedule, particularly during the summer season.
- Comfortable with short-notice requests and able to report for duty during agreed availability periods.
- Willingness to remain alcohol-free during working hours and agreed on-call periods to ensure full fitness to drive whenever required.
- Discreet, trustworthy and professional, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
- Well organised, practical and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time position based at the Employer's residence in Monaco, with regular travel throughout Monaco and the surrounding areas of France and Italy. Occasional international travel may also be required.
The Employer typically spends the summer season in Monaco and along the French and Italian Riviera, while spending much of the winter season elsewhere. Consequently, the workload is generally higher during the summer months and lower during the winter months.
Candidates should therefore be comfortable with summer being the principal working season, during which a high degree of flexibility and availability is expected. Annual leave will preferably be scheduled outside the peak summer season, subject to mutual agreement and applicable employment law.
During agreed periods when the Employer is present in Monaco or the surrounding region, the Employee is expected to be contactable and available to report for duty at short notice, including when contacted by telephone, subject to applicable working-time and rest requirements.
Working hours are expected to average approximately 39 hours per week over the year, subject to applicable Monaco employment regulations, including overtime and rest requirements.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely service-oriented, dependable and comfortable working within a private family environment, with the flexibility to adapt to a seasonal and occasionally changing schedule.
